Our mission: to empower and support women and girls, by providing menstrual hygiene supplies and menstrual health education to needy communities.

Me to You Charity

Me to You addresses the issue of “Period Poverty.” We provide sustainable menstrual hygiene supplies and menstrual health education to needy communities in Kenya and rural communities in Sub-Saharan, Africa. Empowering women and girls to manage their menstruation without shame, stigma, or exploitation.

With menstrual hygiene resources, women and girls can increase: their confidence, healthy behaviours, as well as their school and work attendance. Overall, their quality of life improves.

  • UNESCO estimates that 1 in 10 school-age girls on the African continent do not attend school during menstruation.

  • Research in Kenya revealed that 65% of women and girls can’t afford sanitary napkins.

  • In rural Western Kenya, 2/3 of girls and young women aged 13–29 using sanitary pads reported receiving them from sexual partners. School girls, particularly a concentration of 15-year-old girls, reported exchanging sex for money to purchase pads
